After watching the Chingay parade, I think the purpose of Chingay 2016 is to unite the different races and aiming towards sg 100. I think it is also to show our our traditional cultures and display our stunning dances of the many different races in Singapore. And to show that we appreciate what our founding fathers have done for us, thus, creating the "lights of legacy" as well as striving for a even better future for Singapore.
Chingay was originally to display what was called true art where traditional arts such sources as dances were showed. Now it is to allow people to understand other races better and unite people of different races. It is also to show Singapore's pride as a multiracial nation.
Yes, they have showed the true spirit of Singaporeans as well as beautifully displaying the arts and cultures of the different races in Singapore. As well as bringing out the the goal of reaching sg 100 and improving on our nation.
